I was a bit hesitant with the spiciness level on the dish because I went to another Korean spot and their spicy was way too spicy.. equivalent to the fire noodle spice so I was afraid to pick their spicy.. but ended up with spicy not medium spicy! It was perfect. Because the server saw me hesitate over the spice level, he was super nice and said to let the guys in my group pick spicy instead of mild. If it was too spicy, he will give me a drink on him. Thank you btw! We got number 24! I was a bit disappointed because there were only 6 rice cakes in there…but their meat and flavor were all there! Can feed 3-4 people in my opinion! Definitely want to come back to try their soups! Also, your dish comes with rice! Purple or white. I appreciate restaurants who give the amount of bowls equivalent to the people at the table.
Outpost of popular restaurant known for short rib plate. Came here with my parents on a Sunday around 6:30pm and there was no wait for a table. Free parking is available in the parking lot but it’s busy. Credit cards are accepted. Indoor dining available (no outdoor seating options). When you pay, they bring the payment machine to you. Service was fast and they have call buttons on the wall (though we didn’t use it). We got the Koh galbi jjim and added cheese and rice cakes (an additional $6 each). It’s $5 more for this plate for the oxtail, of which they gave us about 4 pieces. The medium was more than enough for us three plus leftovers. You have a choice or white or brown (purple) rice. You get three appetizers as well. It’s a good spot for come here for big groups, but they do have individual portion entrees as well. I think adding the cheese is a must-do; the rice cakes are optional, but we particularly enjoy tteobokki so we indulged.
Outstanding service. Order Braised Beef Short Rib Back Rib (Galbi Jjim). Happy meal! I’m seeing myself coming back. Left around 745pm it started to get a long line.
11/5/21 2nd visit. Order for togo. To go quality is also good as much as dining in. Servers are still nice even they are busy. I like this restaurant. —————— First, Price is heavy but the quality of the taste is covered everything. 2nd, It’s open until late night. You can grab some good quality food with dining in. 3, Service is really awesome. The only reason why i gave 4 stars is the price is high. But no regrets. It’s really good place.
Finally was able to try this place, after have it on my list over 2 years. I would like to say that it is pretty good… but this place is expensive. I believe I would come to try their Galbi Jjim at least once, but not sure if I would come back, unless I was craving Sulung Tang Beef for a lighter meal when it’s cold or if someone was sick … The Infamous Galbi Jim, it was pretty good… but not sure if it is $80 good. To top it off if you want the burnt Mozzarella cheese, it will cost you an extra six dollars. The beef was delicious, and inside there was rice cake, potato, carrots, and smaller slices of beef. Again not sure if I would pay that much, maybe $50, but $80 … The Sulung Beef was just like I would imagine it. Nice and clear, with some dipping sauce. We had to make sure we ask for the salt and green onion. This Sulung dish, plus the Galbi Jjim added together over $100 already, plus if you decide to dine in, well 15% tip, you can do the math… I do have to note that their BanChan was pretty good. They had three different ones, a green onion, radish, and traditional kimchi. I’m glad I finally was able to try this place, but my wallet wasn’t. Like I said before, if you haven’t tried this, I would recommend eat least you try it once. Either way for me, if I come back, it would most likely be a rainy or sick day. Thanks for reading till the end, until next time !
