Contribuiți la feedbackAmazing scenery with the self guided walk however had a bad experience with the bus driver when I accidentally wondered in the wrong direction. The issue was quickly sorted out by staff and we had our tickets refunded which we didn’t expect. Would definitely recommend as a more natural park compared to others in the area. Visited on: Weekday
Waimangu Volcanic Valley (self walk boat cruise : the absolute insider tip a hiking trail through the world's youngest geothermal valley (hot springs, cracks in the earth from which sulfur vapors emerge, geysers, etc. with a magical atmosphere and very, very few visitors. The hiking trail is beautifully embedded in the valley. There are always breathtaking views. The subsequent boat tour on Lake Rotomahana is the crowning conclusion. The boat tour can only be done from the end of the trail. Return journey possible with the park's own bus on a separate route. Duration approx. 3:30 to 4 hours.
The walk is very pleasant with a very interesting story about its volcanic eruption. Furthermore, I find it less impressive in terms of volcanic activity compared to other geothermal parks. Visited on: Weekday Wait time: No wait Reservation recommended: No
The park is very interesting. Bubbling mud, squirting hot water, steaming lakes. Very interesting. Give yourself at least three hours to explore Visited on: Weekday Wait time: No wait Reservation recommended: Yes
