Contribuiți la feedbackI've been here twice and it was very good both times. I'm no expert on coffee but the mochaccino here is the best I've had anywhere in New Zealand. For breakfast I've had the chorizo omelette which was good too. The service is friendly and efficient and there are a few areas to choose to sit in.
We went here over the weekend on a busy morning when the Rotorua marathon had just finished. Given how busy they were, the service was fast! I had an eggs Benny, the hollandaise is always a hit and miss with restaurants. It was average but the poached eggs alone stole the show for me. The eggs were perfectly cooked!! My partner had the big breakfast, not your typical big breakfast as it didn't have many elements in terms of quantity. For instance they had only one slice of bread and that could've been 2. I ended up sharing the slice I had. Anyway he did rave about the high quality of the breakfast inspite of disproportion on the dish. Nonetheless it was overall a great experience with awesome customer service!
This has to be one of the best cafes me and my missus have been to **** good food and coffee fast and staff were polite. Nice chilled out vibe with a thank you as you leave. Wish Hamilton was this good. Jolly good show
The back story : Sunday morning brunch options proved to be more difficult to find in Rotorua central than expected. Many were closed, or the open ones were more of a bakery than a cafe. So when Aroma cafe came into view with a proud flag signalling it was open, we were delighted to find a place to sit down and eat.<br/ <br/ Setting : The interior was large and spacious and new. With a larger space upstairs housing at least 10 tables plus and outdoor back area and tables by the windows by the counter and tables on the street this was a very large cafe with options to hold small and large groups.<br/ With soft music and a nice breeze through the main door , it oozed a relaxing atmosphere . Conveniently located by the Rotorua museum proved it was a useful stop on the way to other places and if you sit on the outdoor chairs, you can have a good view of the lake.<br/ <br/ Food: The menu had both breakfast and lunch options. These were reasonably priced with cabinet options averaging below $10 and larger menu options around $15 20 including a big breakfast option for just $19. Pancakes, french toast, eggs benedict , bacon and egg options were all there and from the other tables, I could see were beautifully presented. Lunch options ranged from burgers to salads and even a steak for $19. They had a kids menu too. I ordered a hot chocolate, Louise cake and sausage roll from the cabinet. These were very well done with crispy light pasty around a meaty sausage, light egg white with coconut on a crispy base for the cake and the hot chocolate was hot an important factor for a good hot chocolate to melt the marshmallows. <br/ <br/ Occasion : cafe style brunch with good seating and modern decor <br/ <br/ Revisit potential : 10/10
