Excellent food and quick service. Friendly staff! Good selection of deserts and hot food. Worth a visit!

I had a delightful experience at the restaurant's afternoon tea. The sandwiches were freshly made and generously filled, and there was a great selection of cakes to choose from. I particularly liked the idea of being able to pick your own cakes at the beginning. The only downside was being charged for lemonade. Since I don't drink tea or coffee, I asked for an alternative and was told it wouldn't be a problem. However, I was surprised to find out that I had to pay for the substitution. I ordered a second drink and would have appreciated being informed that neither were included in the tea set. I understand that it would have been helpful to mention this at the time, but my friend was the one who paid so I didn't realize immediately.

I 've eaten in the tea room many times; however today I had my dogs with me. Although there is the Dog House where you can take your furr babies, and order food off the menu, my friend and I decided to use The Tap . We were greeted with a welcoming smile and a roaring log burner just what we needed after walking around Thrybergh Res. My furr babies were made very welcome, fresh water bowl and treats : You order food from the tea room and they bring the food to you. There 's the usual hot drinks (fine china for your cuppa tea , plus alcoholic beverages. We opted for the bacon, brie and cranberry panini, which was served with a nice fresh side salad and coleslaw. All the staff were friendly and made us feel very welcome. Afterwards we visited the Deer Park Retail Village where you can purchase fresh flowers, there 's a deli section, and antiques. This place is fabulous, just what Thrybergh needs we 'll definitely visit again!

Visited today, booked a table AND meal, arrived 2 minutes early , asked to wait whilst table cleared and cleaned, sat down five minutes past two then waited another 40 minutes for meal. Meal STEAK Pie, Mash and garden peas. Pie quality poor. We have been before and will go again but not for pie and mash. 3 Stars based on today's visit only as past visits were very good.
