The Cobbles Tea Room - Rother

I always enjoy bringing visitors to Cobbles, and the tea shop never disappoints. On our last visit, we tried the delightful Victoria sponge and the incredibly tasty Coffee and Walnut cake. And we couldn't resist trying the scones, which were so delicious they could have earned a Paul Hollywood handshake: moist and perfectly baked, they easily split in half without needing a knife. It was a delicious treat.

We stopped by this restaurant for lunch while visiting Rye for a few nights. Despite it being crowded (clearly a popular spot), our food arrived quickly. The menu had a wide variety of options and the cakes were delicious - we will definitely be coming back. The service was friendly as well.

Upon reaching Rye, we climbed the steep cobbled Mermaid Street and were in desperate need of a cup of tea. We stumbled upon Cobblers, a quaint little tea room that was surprisingly picturesque. The food was tasty and affordable, but unfortunately, the unfriendly and impatient waiter soured the experience. It was a shame because the place had so much charm.

Beautiful little place, quaint. Fantastic staff ,particularly the waitress Romley and the person in the kitchen , who on 28th Aug , made us delicious sandwiches even when kitchen was closed. Romley was kind and courteous and very accommodating. I highly recommend this place.

This tea room is down a lovely cobble pathway tucked away. Really cute and cosy inside. The hot chocolate tasted amazing. The afternoon tea was nice. Service was quick. Cake was a little dry but may of been the hot weather.
