The Chequers Inn - Rother

This is a fantastic pub. The decor was very nicely done and the weather on the sunny day we visited was unbeatable. We were informed that the chef called in sick, but the food still came out quickly. We will definitely be back.

Really amazing. five of us eat here for lunch twice over the last days to crash and dance a weekend in ditchling. both meals were exceptionally good with the sun roasttag. very high end quality, but not pretentious and very reasonable prices. very well maintained harveys. brilliant personal and a particularly hospitable renter who tells a good story, knows his beer and takes care of them. highly recommended.

The Sunday dinners at this restaurant were fantastic, especially the delicious roasts. The staff were all extremely friendly and welcoming, especially Luna the dog. We will definitely be coming back.

Great quality freshly cooked food, not your average pub grub. And very attentive staff, a lovely evening for our large group of 12.

We were in the mood for something light, so we decided to try the Scotch egg, frittata, zucchini fries, and bread. Everything was absolutely delicious, and the simple bread and butter were a pleasant surprise, beautifully executed.
