Good choice to a vegetarian/pescetarian. Special thanks to the waiter who fixed so nicely our order mistake.
My family and I visited this restaurant the other night and had a very bad experience. It was on a Sunday night and almost half of the menu was not available. This is understandable as they may have been very busy with tourists and others visiting the beach. Initially, I was disappointed with the selection, but even more with the attitude of the servers. They appeared to have a ¨take it or leave it¨ attitude. We proceeded to order various dishes which were acceptable. After ordering ortiguillas we were later informed that they were not available so we ordered Almedrillitas. When the Almendrillitas arrived, I immediately noticed that they appeared to be burnt. After tasting them, my suspicion was confirmed. They were bitter and overdone. I brought this to the attention of the waitress who took the plate. A minute or two later, the Maitre returned with the plate argueing that there was nothing wrong with the plate. I thought that this was inappropriate, but insisted that they were inedible and asked that the plate be returned. Then I ordered a racion of puntillitas in its place. The puntillitas arrived and were cooked well although the quantity was lacking as compared to other restaurants in Rota. After finishing, we asked for the check and waited 15 minutes for it to arrive. Upon arrival I noticed that I was charged for the order of Almendrillitas and brought it to the attention of the Maitre. The Maitre violently refused to adjust the check. His unprofessional and inapproprite responses and insults were very embarrassing and not in keeping with any other restaurant that I’ve ever seen (worldwide). I recommend that you avoid this establishment at all costs. There are plenty of decent alternatives in Rota.
