La Marine - Rosslare

Despite its name, La Marine did not impress with their fish dishes. The monkfish was tough and lacked flavor, without any accompanying sauce to enhance the dish, making it not worth the €26 price. However, the salmon and duck mains were more successful. The desserts and cheese board were delicious, and the restaurant has a great variety of wines to choose from. The service was attentive, even during a busy evening.

I made a reservation at La Marine for lunch with a group of four. Upon arrival, we found the restaurant door closed with a line of people waiting outside. After a wait, someone eventually opened the door but didn't greet us or invite us in. Inside the bar area, our group was not attended to and had to find our own table. The floors were dirty and the overall ambiance did not live up to the reviews. When asking about La Marine, we were told that the bar served the same menu even though we had reserved a table in the restaurant. Despite being initially directed to sit in the cramped bar area, I insisted on being seated at our reserved table. Once seated, the food was delicious and the service improved.

The food at this restaurant was incredible. I highly recommend it to anyone. A big thank you to Lisa for her exceptional skills, excellent service, and welcoming attitude!

Went for Sunday lunch. The roast special was good and reasonably priced. Would recommend you popping in if near by and not staying in the hotel

On holiday and booked for dinner early bird had the fish option and it was served on a bed of mash with french beans, i found it tastless, lovely wine, we went back the next week and had a different fish it came out on a bed of mash wuth broccoli same tastless What has happened to the food, uninspiring starters, and tastless mains Lovely wine and coffee
