Bryggergaarden - Roskilde

Unfortunately, the food did not live up to expectations. Did not have the same level as on previous visits.

We were very excited and certainly not the last time we come to Bryggergården Food, service and atmosphere were 1st class

Family lunch at Bryggergaarden. Two of us had the Easter menu and three picked from the menu card. The food was very good and well prepared. The restaurant was full when we arrived. Good for us we had reservations. Service was paying attention and serving was fast and smiling. In the Easter menu there were also cheese included. That dish had only one kind of cheese, and too much of it, and some crackers. A change to that could be less cheese and maybe 3 different types of cheese. Besides that, the Easter menu was very good and tasty. Everyone at our table left Bryggergaarden full and satisfied. The interior is cozy and warm and there are elements showing the the old age of this building. This restaurant got new owners this year (2023) and reopened in February. They made a good first impression and I will be back another time.

Stoped here on spec on the way back from Viking ship museum. Menu choices were different from what I've seen before, maybe more local and less international. Friend had pork which she loved and I had roast beef with fried onions and egg on top, which again was very nice. Staff very friendly and good fun. Decor was nice with lots of wood. Lunch plus drinks, dessert and coffee 617kr(including service charge) which was good value.

Friendly reception of chef and servant. Delicious Danish food with large selection of beer.
