Vons Chicken Roseville

I was introduced to sweet/spicy Korean fried chicken by my son in San Diego. Wanted to feed my new habit in north cal, and decided to try Vons (Roseville based on recent reviews. I was completely wowed! The fried chicken with the yangnyeum sauce (we ordered medium was amazing! The full order, boneless, was enough to feed two adults with leftovers. Ordered for takeout, but the atmosphere was pleasant (clean bathroom! . The counter staff member was super friendly and patient; she arranged for me to try several of the sauces so I could order the perfect meal.P.S. it was worth a 45min trek back again two days later for two additional orders- 1 Yangnyeum and 1 order with sauces on the side. My 11yo daughter liked the garlic soy sauce best (the honey garlic was good too ; my son dipped in bbq sauce like a chicken tender.

I got the half order of crispy garlic wings mixed. What a disappointment. They didn 't toss the chicken in the sauce they just put the chicken in the container and dumped a ladle or two of what felt like two day old coagulated gravy that smelled of garlic on top. It was not crispy at all. It was just a soggy mess. The very few bites that I got that weren 't mushy were boring like they don 't season their batter. They throw in actual drumsticks so that 's neat.The cheddar fries weren 't any better. The base french fry had a great texture but the cheddar flavor was a super sweet powder that tasted nothing like cheese that just like the chicken just had a bunch dumped on top.The pickled daikon and cole slaw tasted good.Honestly, day old microwaved KFC would have tasted better.

First time dining fantastic experience! The mild Spicy Fried Chicken had a great flavor and slight kick to it. The pieces are huge! Bone in and boneless exceeded expectations. Kimchi Rice and Spicy Rice Cakes were great compliments. Ordering a large side salad next time too!

The food is phenomenal! Loved the crispy soy garlic (called Yang-Nyum) chicken I got. Devoured the whole plate. The pickled onions and coleslaw on the side were a great touch. Wish the location was in a better spot, but the food is 100% worth the visit. Top 10 fried chickens of. all. time. I will be back for more!

Good food, but our order was wrong the both times we've been here.Today I ordered half CRISPY garlic fried chicken to-go.What I got oven baked soy chicken.It was so disappointing to open a box of soggy oven chicken when I was looking forward to crunchy chicken when I got home.Lesson learned, check the boxes before I leave the restaurant. *cries*
