My complaint is with how thin it was. My steak was $75. and thats where they really fell short. I had a Australian Wagu ribeye at another restaurant a few months ago. It was probably the best steak I ever had and it was $90. and worth every penny. Don't get me wrong, my steak at Ruth's Chris was very good but no where near the Wagu.
We have dined here many times and always had great food. The four of us had steaks and they were superb and cooked to perfection and nice and hot on those 500 degree plates. My baked potato was great, hot.....but then I transferred it to the 500° plate the steak was on and the potato stayed hot the whole time. Exceptional! The server was extraordinary in terms of making sure we had absolutely everything we needed and he was incredibly efficient. My only complaint is that you get a steak and that's it......BUT...have to pay for any side dish you may want. This seems chintzy on their part. I have always thought that was a poor choice on their part, but it has always been that way. IMPORTANT: To offer a side dish with the main dish would be incredibly important in these times of real economic strain for those who would like to dine out but don't have the economic advantage.
Had high hopes going to Ruth Chris as they seemed to portray as a great steak house well at least the prices speak to this. My 100$ steak came out raw when asked for medium rare. I politely asked the server to please fix it they took it and brought it out raw a second time and told me the plate is hot and it would cook it ??? Really??? My wife ordered medium rare and came back well done how does that happen ? We didn’t even mention my wife’s steak to the waiter. We were given a piece of cake and a martini for our troubles lol don’t recommend for a date night go to Morton’s for the price or even better yet Texas road house they know how to cook a steak.
The service was ok. The food was Sent back Twice for being cooked not at the right temperature. The plates were so hot that we could not touch it and the napkin was melted on the plate.
Great servic. But the food for 81!dollars not worth it and the steak was tuff for medium rare came out crispy but we didn't say nothing to the server cause he was doing a great job the best
