Nice sushi in the north subway. Osaka has two main parts: the Hibachi side (where you get a cook at your table, which puts on a small show for you, and the dining side (usually sushi and smaller groups). Sushi is pretty good. They have very respectable university (if they have it). For what reason the Toro seems to me. You have a lot of ways to make a sushi dinner a little easier on the wallet, mostly in the form of combos on the menu (Love Boat, Sushi for 2 etc.). You also often send pretty good vouchers that you can usually find online with a fast search. Some of the servers are absolutely wonderful, and some seem like they could hardly stand there. Everyone seems to be at least professional. Overall: It is cheaper than a Fuji-ya, and depending on what you want, it can even be a better fit for you.
I was there twice, great value on the Bento boxes and above average sushi.
KOKEN ARE AMAZING. That's the second time I go and the cook surprised me more than the first time. Service was great except when the waitress asked for a tip I simply asked about $200 she took too long with our drinks and she had the opportunity to ask for a tip next time I go back I will make sure they don't have as waitress
Good sushi. Sushi was tasty, not the best around, but still decent. We liked the No. 9 roll, best. Squid salad and seaweed salad portions are plentiful and tasty. The restaurant is swanky and service was superb, so I would say that makes up for the mediocre sushi
