Tree house 81 - Rosedale

Well... well... well... there's a place in Rosedale that has no pretense... it's simply a delight. We stopped for lunch and were delighted with the experience. There are interesting things in the café to look at while you wait , not that you wait for very long. AND they have games, so you can play games while you eat or wait... or just have coffee. Not just for children, adults can also enjoy these games. The menu is basic... with a good selection of pizzas. We ordered a chicken pizza and then asked for a pizza I had seen on their Facebook page, but was not on the menu. The chicken pizza was really tasty... the Nutella Marshmallow pizza was incredibly sweet AND packed a punch with sweetness. They were quite obliging making it for us. The café is situated next to a nursery so you can look around the nursery before or after you eat. It's easily located on the highway with plenty of parking available. The guys working were both really nice. Prices were really good... we could have eaten quite cheaply if we had not ordered the extra pizza... that was ever so indulgent. Even with the extra pizza... the prices are very reasonable.

From the moment you walk through the open double doors you are welcomed as the front staff offer their best smile. Their woodfired pizza is simply the best in the region. If you're wondering about the freshness of their ingredients, wonder no more. Stay at the venue whilst waiting for your pizza and you will see Chef Kyle go to their in house garden and freshly pick your ingredients for your delight. The available Nutella donuts and Churros also finish the course amazingly!

Only open in the evenings throughout winter. Had a wonderful steak with a delicious fresh salad. They are licenced.

We love getting take away pizza or eat in from this place. They make lovely pizzas with tasty fresh ingredients. Also very helpful that they'll do traditional flavours that aren't on the menu and are always happy to change things to suit you. Great pizza, not a long wait for the pizza and the cafe is an nice cozy place to eat or pass the time whilst you wait. Service is warm, friendly and approachable.

Delicious food (brisket burger was amazing), generous portion sizes, lovely relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff and good tunes. Now we are in a food coma, and it was worth it. Way better than most places in Traralgon, we will definitely be telling our friends about this little gem. Thanks team, we’ll be back!
