Pearl Barley - Roseburg North

Dear ones at Pearl Barley: First, for the bountiful food box Josie brought to me after today's Truck closure time I THANK YOU VERY MUCH !!! I'm so grateful, that I didn't have to figure out what I had on hand to fix for my food this evening! I've been ill for the last week a half. I live alone, so if anything gets cooked around my home, I'm the one that does it. Truth be told, with this cold I've had no reserve energy at all. But enuf of that. I ordered the Penn pasta lasagna (this was very good), but also got a hefty side of broccoli, mushroom risotto that was wow, salad sweets were both lovely! Well worth the $9.50 I paid! Actually I managed two filling meals out of what was provided! All I had to do was reheat the risotto dish in the microwave it was ready to eat. What a relief to eat good tasting food that's good for you! Thanks once again Pearl Barley! PS: I graduated from the same plant based food class that Josie did, I want to see this little business succeed! I wish to become much more involved in pushing for its success in the near future. This is the place we dreamed about when I was teaching CHIP with Dr. Charlie Ross. A fast food drive-thru for plant based eaters. There is transition food for plant based newbies and hardcore clean whole food options. I work at Pearl Barley and more importantly, I eat there! Come check it out!

This place is so good! Home cooked healthy options that are cram packed full of flavor, you forget you're eating vegan! I'm so excited to see this place grow.

Finally made it out there and had the risotto with mushrooms and broccoli and it was delicious !! The garlic potato salad was yummy and the apple pie cheesecake mousse was just the right amount of sweet and oh so tasty !!!! I’m going to try and get a lunchbox at least once s week it’s just that good.

Opening day and the boxed lunches were amazing...we had the baked taters with Bean's and broccoli..and salad...as well as the chik.pasta..everything was fabulous..loved the choc sause and apples!! Can't wait to try more..
