La Serenata - Roscrea

The service and atmosphere at this restaurant were absolutely terrible. The blonde lady who served us gave us a half portion instead of a full portion, and the food was way too garlicky. This is definitely one of the worst Italian restaurants I've ever been to. We ended up getting fish and chips on the way home because the portion size was inadequate and the prices were too high. I will not be going back to face that scary blonde lady again. Locals may say it's good, but it doesn't compare to even the worst pub grub. Overall, Roscrea has very little to offer, aside from a mediocre McDonald's.

Well this is my worst review to date im afraid to say. Beautiful split level old building, but freezing enough to see my own breath. The service was ok, im afraid i can't recommend the food. Late afternoon visit. The food was dreadful. The pasts were both overcooked to the point of swelling and the sauce's wer both very runny and full of miles too much cream. It was a watery splashing mess. The desert of tiramisu was a creamy mess that did not view well and didn't resemble any kind of classical tiramisu i have ever seen. The food did not sit well with my partner and I. Neither of us will be returning to the his spot again. So in conclusion. Never again!

Beautiful historic building very nicely adapted and appropriate no loss of heritage just enhanced and opened up delicious food and variety I never thought I would find such a gem so near to the Limerick to Dublin Motorway Roscrea I will go again

Staying just down the road, thought we would call in for lunch. We shared a mushroom calzone pizza and 10” pizza with chicken,onion, jalapeño and mushroom and was delicious. It was delicious, perfect for lunch all freshly cooked. Eveta, who served us was pleasant and knowledgeable about the local area. One note.... you must take your own alcoholic drink. I got ours from the off-licence 200yds away, the shop keeper was very knowledgeable about his Italian reds.

This was my third visit in 24 months. The building itself is very different inside and I actually fund it cool. But the service is so slow. And each time I was there it actually got worse. The same lady was there serving all 3 times and she really does not have the manner to be a waitress. The food was quite good. My last meal was probably the best of the 3. But the service was so so slow I swore I would never return. Which is a pity actually. I hope the shake it up and turn it around. But I won't be back to see it
