Seafood chowder for lunch tasted homemade and was delicious, so I looked forward to dinner. After ordering Chicken Marsala, I was told the item had been removed from the menu. I asked what chicken dishes they did have and was told none. I'm not sure I've ever been to a restaurant that didn't have a chicken dish on the menu, and I would recommend the chef come up with something (Piccata, BBQ, Parmesan). Alternatively I ordered the filet and was disappointed in the quality of the beef. This is a beautiful setting, but the food needs some work.
Went here for my husband's birthday dinner. Delicious and gorgeous view. Sat outside. Husband had the blackened walleye,I had the shrimp and scallops pasta. Ingredients so fresh. The tuxedo cake dessert was sinfully delicious!
We were reluctant to go here for dinner, after reading the reviews, but I'm so glad we did. There were four of us. We had a very attentive server. Everything we ordered was great. The Alfredo had a nice roasted garlic flavor. Mashed potatoes were delicious. So were the ribs. We ended with the truffle cake, which was amazing. The outdoor bar area is very nice. So was the sunset. We will definitely go back!
This restaurant is such a disappointment when compared to the golf at this resort. I 've ate here several times and have never been impressed. While staying on property, this is the only food option. I had the fish tacos for lunch and they were extremely bland. I had to add seasoning and hot sauce to give them some flavor. I had the so called prime beef ribeye for dinner for $37.00. The cut was extremely fatty around the outside of the steak and minimal marbling on the inside. While it was cooked to medium as I ordered it, it ended up being burnt on the outside, lacked flavor, and was tough and chewy. The other 2 people in my party ordered the ribeye as well and were unhappy. The best part of my meal was the salad and vegetables. I 'm guessing I could have had a better steak at applebees. The golf and staff at this resort are top notch but they need to do something with their food options to match.
We are weekender’s.... and come up pretty much every weekend and we’re always looking for different places to eat. Not many really nice restaurants in the area so upon a friend’s recommendation we decided to give the place a try with my sister and her husband. The clubhouse and the grounds look impressive as you’re driving up. We were seated promptly in the dining area with a wonderful view of the course. Interior is nice but, not fancy. Wait staff was very friendly and efficient. After reviewing the menu, we were ready the place our order. Food arrived in a timely manor. I had the Ribeye and my wife had the Fish and Chips. The other members of our party had Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken and the Walleye. Everything was average at best. Ribeye was just plain tasteless, the Alfredo sauce was terrible and the chicken was over cooked. The Fish and Chips were OK, but didn’t stand out. According to my brother in law the Walleye was good but not great. Bottom line food was OK but it certainly didn’t stand out especially for want they charged. Ribeye was $32 and the Fish and Chips were $16...and to be honest you can get the same meal for half that price but with much better taste at a few other bar/restaurants in the area. In all fairness, I wasn’t expecting the Capital Grille and I have no issues paying for a good meal but this really fell short.
