Both the outside terrace and main dining room make the most of this restaurant’s great location, affording the guests terrific views of the Lake of Constance. It’s one of those places you really should take visitors to when the weather is nice. On this visit,...as we had ridden our mountain bikes all the way up and were in need of some carbohydrate replenishment, we had a small portion of cheese dumplings with onions in a cream sauce, and the Austrian national dish of Kaiserschmarrn (cut up pancakes with a creative yogurt dipping sauce). Prices correspond to the altitude they are relatively high. It could be that this year there was a plague of flies everywhere, but we spent most of our time swatting them away from the food, as seemingly did the rest of the guests. There is a lot of free parking just above the restaurant. If you have time, take a short walk down the paved path after your meal to burn off some calories when you walk back up.

Rossbüchel Restaurant offers the most stunning views of the Bodensee/Lake Constance and is therefore worth a visit. However, don't get your hopes up too high about the food. It's not bad, but—unlike the the view—it is not memorable. This is a shame, especially considering the...prices you pay. I had the Fisch Knusperli, while a friend of mine tried the Spätzliteller. As already stated, it was decent home cooking, but nothing to write home about. I also didn't like the pushiness of the waiter and his fake flirtiness. This might work with other guests, but I thought it slightly ridiculous.

One of the finest views in the area. Modern facilities and OK service, but food is quite expensive compared to above average, but not top quality. Our party found the local dishes OK, the classics too salty spicy. But maybe that was bad luck....Would recommend for a small lunch or coffee on a nice day, not necessarily for a great dinner.

This brand new restaurant is ideally located on a hill situated approx. min. by car from St. Gallen. The view from here is splendid Lake Constance (Bodensee), and beyond. We were told we could see Länder German Lander, Swiss...Canton (at least) and Austrian province. The terrace is spacious and beautiful but the view is stunning. The interior is beautifully arranged in a modern understated style. The staff is very friendly and competent. The menu is rather large, from the simplest local sausages to much more intricate dishes. Our group had the following starters: steak tartare which was outstanding, beef carpaccio, and a simple salad that looked like a firework of local and seasonal greens. The trout from Lake Constance and the calf liver were outstanding main dishes while the Schnitzel was delicious as well. The calf liver was perfectly cooked so it was still soft, and prepared in a delicious onion and wine based sauce. We were advised to look at the desert menu as well, and the seasonal vermicelles were a hit in the group, but the ice cream desserts were very appreciated as well. I wish I would live closer to this restaurant so I could visit more frequently... If you are from the area, make sure you pay them a visit. You won't regret it (and no need to thank me..

Staff seems to be overwhelmed! orders are not carried out precisely (brought me the wrong wine times, forgot the water) Food is average prices are high. they do not seem to be prepared for serious business hopefully only beginners struggles
