The Gourmet Grocer - Roodepoort

Finally came here to try the Reuben Sandwich. It was good! I love the fact that it tasted like they made everything in-house (or at least ordered in from small batch manufacturers), from the bread, to the pickles and mustard. I’ll be back to try more.

Food was good. Nice relaxed vibe. Unfortunately some staff where fairly unattentive. The staff to guests ratio is high...so no real reason for this.

Loved this cosy and well-stocked corner restaurant. Great character. Great food. Friendly service. Just right.

What a great find. The sloked Haddock was great. The menu was robust and priced right. The best part about this place is the location; right off the park and in a great neighborhood. Very dog friendly and all the patrons were very nice

Upon entering the place and finding a seat, my surroundings were riddled with flies, probably around 10 if i had to guess a count. I moved to another table. The server was as enthusiastic about life as we all are about Eskom 's future. The bread i got with ky breakfast meal was old and the apple/mint 'juice ' i ordered was warm. Very off putting. The place is very overpriced compared to the experience. I 'd recommend rather going somewhere else
