La Tortuga Feliz - Romeoville

We stayed in this restaurant during a trip. The food was delicious and the staff was friendly! I have the Taco dinner with Steak and Chorizo. Very tasteful.

We ordered a few days ago from La Tortuga Feliz. It was our first experience and we will definitely be back! The checkout was very friendly and helpful as we tried to decide what to order. My husband got Horchata and said it was delicious. We ordered a variety of foods. It took them to do everything, but it was worth waiting. While we waited, it was slow enough for the cashier to chat with us about the restaurant and its origin (their family newly created their grandparents restaurant they own in Mexico! The food was delicious and obviously homemade. I had a chicken germ, and I will definitely get it back! Hubs had a steak burrito, very tasteful. Our sons had chicken tacos (American style and chorizo burrito, also very good. We also ordered sponges that were good, although I did the way my MIL did in search of sponges. The Guac was fresh and delicious, and the rice was the best rice I ever had from a Mexican restaurant - tasteful and delicious.

Here in September. at least 8 times. The staff is so friendly. Food is phenomenal. The cucumber margarita with Tajin rim is FIRE! You also have some taco wall art that I always consider to be a swap for my house. Don't worry, it won't happen, it's too big for us to steal! Haha. Quesabirrias and Gorditas are a pillar here. Everything is consistently fresh, great and fair. 100% will always recommend and always be a lifelong customer. Thanks for your size!

If you are looking for amazing, homemade, authentic Mexican food, this is the place. Salsa was by far the best I had. The homemade tortilla chips were super crisp and not as greasy as I used to see it. Tried a Chicharron taco and 3 chicken tacos. Good $2. The staff was super friendly. It seems to be a family restaurant based on the recipes of her grandmother at home in Mexico.

We loved every dish. Happy to have found this place. Even the rice and beans were quite flavorful. Their Salsa may look watery, but the flavor is nice and hot.
