Antica Pesa - Rome

Lot of hype. Didn’t live up to my expectations.

An OK neighborhood restaurant. A charming front end with excellent service; but the chef has pretensions on which his food does not necessarily deliver. The wine list, of moderate length, is organized with a page for each region, which is fine; but many regions have only 1-4 exemplars, which is ridiculous.

Excellent restaurant in a lovely neighborhood. Good service and food. The pork with grapes and chestnuts was delicious. The wine list is long but you have many choices and the waiter was helpful. We found out that the owners have a restaurant in Williamsburg /Brooklyn) and we received a card to show the New York restaurant and receive a complementary drink.

Lovely patio, good food served promptly. Not a huge selection, but enough. Wine list is a tome! Looks like a dictionary! Prices are reasonable.
