Salsa Rubra - Roma

Me and my family often eat at Salsa Rubra for lunch and I like the variety of dishes and delicious Italian/Roman cuisine provided. Sometimes we like to place some requests and Franco and Olga are always more than happy to satisfy them. It really feels like a nice family...thank you so much Franco and Olga!

I love this place, for my eating mood is properly done, the service is casual and it comes from the chef/bartender Franco Franchino and Olga his wife, the waiter and the chefs are really capable... from a little window you can spy how they work in the kitchen... till Franco will say VAI CON DIO at the dish and it will come out on the hot window. about the food: the Chef uses to cook typical dishes mostly from the tradition of cucina romana or italic food, but surprises as the moussaka greek dish are also proposed so you can find often 3 main dishes pasta and rice, 1/3 is veg , fruit and vegetables are from Luigino 'shop that 's less than 1km far. THURSDAY: means GNOCCHi that are often on the hot table in tomatoes and basil sauce, gorgonzola and speck... of course you will find GRICIA, AMATRICIANA, CARBONARA AND CACIO&PEPE PASTA like there is no tomorrow : Puttanesca and pasta with broccoli and salsiccia sausages and more and more. FRIDAY: means FISH.... that will surprise you A thing that I love as roman and that precisely every Saturday you 'll find is trippa alla romana , that is tripe on the roman way just simply LOVVVVVVVVV IT. About second courses: they often changes. the pork, chicken and beef are everyday proposed in typical cacciatora or not typical ways about veggies: they are simply too much and they are from the season. THE WINES: are really good mostly form Lazio 's vines. Last but not least: THE PRICES that you will pay are really affordable 5 euro for a main usually.

Imperdibile. chi è di roma sa che è inutile andare a trastevere per trovare la vera trattoria romana, che non è un menu ma un mondo, dove si mangiano piatti semplici e tutti molto belli e abbondanti, dove la qualità e il costo sono di casa dove clienti e manager si conoscono e quando si entra sono immediatamente dentro quello che sembra una famiglia allegra che si trova a pranzo per mangiare insieme nella foto: pasta con legumi (pasto, come è Cosa vuoi di più?

Più che un ristorante è una tavola calda; piatti gustosi e prezzi buoni

È il posto ideale per consumare un ottimo pasto con personale preparato e simpatico. Ottimo anche il caffè e gli aperitivi.
