Gran Caffe Visconti - Roma

This was a recommendation from our hotel. It is very good. All the usual great Italian classics. The Bufalo Mozarella however was next level. They also had a take on tiramisu that they called the “veramisu”. It was incredible. The waiter was beyond professional both nights, a truly amazing guy with a obvious love of food and wine. Just be careful not to order too much food, the portions are large and the prices are affordable, so just order slowly and get more if still hungry. We did 1app2 pastas 1dessert and 1 bottle of wine, plenty for 2 people.

Staff were less than welcoming, pizza was soggy, Fociacia starter was just pizza dough. Wine was good, no atmosphere no music, chipped glass and plate

We were recommended Visconti 2.0 by Hotel dei Mellini, and arrived at 7pm on a February weekday evening as the only guests, joined from 8pm by locals. The head waitor proudly informed us that the food and many of the drinks (including a wide range of craft beers and wines) were sourced locally. Our pizzas were superb, and incredible value for the location (EUR12 at most), and so filling that we couldn't manage anything else! A great option for a high quality meal in a smart location without the crowds.

The coffee bar is a local in viale roma at the civic in the district of the sacred heart, in the immediate vicinity of the historical center of the city of novara. It is a renovated bar in recent times, furnished according to casual choices, in order to create a very original and pleasant environment. In addition to the typical services of the bar (caffe, cappuccini and brioches and dishes at lunch,) the restaurant offers, for Friday evening, the vegan aperitif, a very interesting and original initiative, in which it is possible to accompany the most obvious drinks (from wine, beer, spritz) flavors for nothing banal, suitable for vegan worshipers and very pleasant also for the ‘prophans’.

Chosen thanks to thefork (correctly applied condition). Coming from afar, seeing the tent for the outdoor tables and chairs that seemed a bit like a bar, we were a little worried. But then entering, all another world. Very nice and elegant place. Friendly and helpful staff. Attention in detail and cleanliness (also toilets and is not discounted). Very inviting menu of those who want to order everything. We have taken, beyond the white focaccia, linguine with clams, a carbonara, a pizza, desserts one more good than the other and wine glasses (very good both wines)With the discount we spent euro per person, but the value for money would have been great even without the discount. Very recommended. I'll be back
