Rolling Meadows Brewery

If you love beer, good folks, organic farming, farm-to-table, sustainability, and of course BEER, this is the place for you. Rolling Meadows makes some local favorites such as Abe's Ale, Lincoln Lager, and Springfield Wheat. They also have a variety of seasonal and small batch brews that are creative and tasty such as the Coffee Break and the Wet Hop Dunkel. The brewers are passionate, knowledgeable, and friendly. They love talking about the local history, local agriculture, and their inspiration for new beers. They are also dedicated to sustainable agriculture and their obsession with local, green business practices. The tour was really fun and informative and we got to sample lots of great beers. Just make sure you call ahead to check if they are open and there are tours and tastings going on.

A hidden gem! Saw their sign while biking on the Sangamon Valley (Bike) Trail and decided to veer off the path and check it out. They had a good variety of beers and we sampled most of them including at least four locally harvested seasonal fruit and herb brews. Delicious! Friendly and knowledgeable staff who made us feel welcomed.

Rolling Meadows is superb craft beer, and I am especially partial to Abe's Ale and Lincoln's Lager. There are also excellent seasonal specials.
