Bulldog Ale House - Rolling Meadows

Where do I start! I used to love Bulldogs. But I don’t think I’ll be back or I’ll will for sure be asking for a different waitress than who I’ve had the past two times. From the time we sat down, to our food being brought to us to the check…terrible service. The first time I had this waitress she was a little reactionary but we let it go. This time, no. I’ve never had a waitress be so outright rude and say rude things to me, and to not be given all of my change that was to be given to me. I want to come back because the food is always amazing, but after these two experiences, not sure!

Excellent food. Hard to read menus with only one blury copy provided our table for three adults; Women's restroom was poorly maintained with toilet seat not fitting toilet, hot glued tile on wall, Poorly written, misspelled sign on door. Waitress seemed disinterested, and didn't provide napkins or silverware utensils until we asked another server/buss person when we got our food. Management seemed to not be investing in the facility and training of staff. Would not recommend this facility/team of servers, for the money and our time spent for an afternoon.

We stopped in for dinner. The food was excellent along with the wait staff. There was plenty of free parking. Our meal was served in about 15 minutes.

The reason for the 3-star rating was service. We went on a weeknight (a Thursday I think) and were greeted, less than warmly, by the host(ess) stand. Once we were seated at the bar, the bartender was very slow. In her defense, she was new and making a drink she wasn't familiar with. Still, it took at least 10 minutes for one drink and there were only two other customers, drinking beer, who didn't require service. There was also only one food menu offered. Granted, the menu is available online and there were QR codes to scan, a physical menu was much easier to use given the variety of the menu. Food was tasty!

Four of us got here around 11-1130am, we sat at the bar, seats were great and the bartender had a great personality. The selection of tap beers are great. The food and service was very good. Prices are comparable to almost every where you go. The food was great. Pizza is about a 12inch size. Burgers, especially the Bull dog one, was great. the only thing I have to say negative, is the menu on the web, the owner has to bring it up to date, or he's going to have problems. The menu is out of date)I would go there again. Got a good bunch of employees, keep em, hard to find. If you don't want to sit inside, they got plenty of room outside. Parking: Plenty of parking and handicap parking Wheelchair accessibility: Plenty of room for a walker and wheelchair.
