ThirsTea - Rohnert Park

I am from San Jose where there are a lot of great milk tea stores. While I was on a little trip in Santa Rosa, I was hoping to discover a decent boba drink around this area and this place popped up in my search. The store looks cute with indoor decor and a clean restroom. But the drinks were ....a big disappointment. I did not have high hopes for amazing milk tea in this area, but at least it should be decent with the good ratings they have. Unfortunately, the drinks were not even decent, too watery and boba texture and flavors failed as well. :(Service was decent, not great but not bad for that day.2 stars for the decoration.

I don't like writing negative reviews, especially for small, family-owned businesses, but I have to for this place. We stopped by on our way back to the East Bay and tried a banh mi and eggette. The banh mi was terrible - the pate didn't seem fresh and the pickled veggies had a strange taste. The eggette was just okay; it was edible but the texture and flavor were lacking. Considering this place has a limited menu, you would expect the quality to be good based on the reviews. Overall, I was unimpressed and won't be returning.

While driving from Santa Rosa back to San Jose, we decided to stop at this place for milk tea based on its decent reviews. However, we were quite disappointed with the food. We ordered two drinks which tasted like watered-down milk tea with very little flavor. The boba texture was okay but not sweet, indicating they weren't marinated in sugar long enough. The price was $6.5 for a milk tea with boba. The service was good, though not overly friendly, and the ambiance of the boba shop was cute with a nice decor and plenty of light. The restroom was clean. Overall, the experience was underwhelming in terms of food quality.

I really don't enjoy giving low star reviews. However I was really disappointed in my milk tea from ThirsTea.I'm currently living in San Jose so I know what good milk tea is and unfortunately ThirsTea had bad milk tea.We got two drink and after the first sip we wished we could have gotten a refund. We got a Macha Milk Tea and an earl Grey Milk Tea both with boba. Both were extremely watered down. There was also very little ice. We think that maybe they pour hot tea over the ice, melting it and therefore watering it down? Not sure but it was not good at all. The boba was also not sweet enough. I grew up in Sonoma County and when I'm home I'm always on the lookout for a decent milk tea stop. My hunt continues...Despite the tea being so bad its cute inside and the server was friendly. Unfortunately that is not enough to make me come back again. I will not return.

I used to live in Rohnert Park and I would often visit this boba place. Their drinks are consistently delicious, with the boba always perfectly chewy. I have never had a negative experience here. I also tried their boba puffs and they are without a doubt the best egg waffles I have ever had. I will always highly recommend this boba place and will definitely return whenever I am in the area.
