Always a great selection of desserts and friendly staff.
Cakes were flavorful. One of two cakes was the wrong type. Constructive suggestion, consider small partial refunds or a courtesy item in instances where the customer has to return to the store or perform a double check upon pickup by the clerk customers may not have time to do so on the spot.
I am a long time costumer. I find the items overpriced, but I understand it is a local small business, therefore I think of the extra cost as a support. We love their sourdough bread. I usually buy them sliced. I asked today morning if the bread was made today. Friendly smiling young man answered : The breads are always same day. If really that would be the case early in the morning, the bread still would be hot perhaps impossible to slice. I assume the bread was frozen and thawed. This method might be common practice and the quality of the bread itself is the same, yet insulting my intelligence by bending the truth leaves a bitter taste in my mouth after all.
You don't need to purchase an entire cake to enjoy Tilda's. Any time I'm in the Rocky Point area and have a few extra minutes, I try to stop by for a pastry and a coffee. Whether it's a muffin, chocolate croissant, crumb cake, hot cross bun, or any other variety, it's always fresh and delicious. I'm glad to see that Tilda's made it through the COVID years because it's local community shops like them that need our support more than Starbucks and Dunkin' Donuts.
