While the lamb and garnel were plentiful in their respective dresses, there was about a teaspoon of chicken totally in the chicken dish. I don't know if they underestimated the amount of the chicken that would have been ordered and run out or whether it was clear, but was completely unacceptable, as their prices are about 30% higher than a typical Indian restaurant. I would go back, but would ask how the chicken situation before I order a chicken court.
We never have to eat there. no host or server arrived. we waited 5 minutes and no one came out to sit down! So we went and went to other place to dinner disappointing
We decided to try a new Indian restaurant for a family dinner, and friend recommended saffrin based on an experience with supplied food. the decor is simple, but that didn't disturb us. the restaurant is located in the second floor and will not be a problem for us by an external metal staircase, but those with mobility challenged would be good to call first. saffron offers new and different menu options that we enjoyed, and parts were bigger than some competitors. both eating and service at saffron were good, but some menu choices were better than others. all in all, our experience was quite sufficient.
I always love eating here. The food is authentic Indian, the service is attentive without being obtrusive. Very friendly, casual. No need to rush, but don't get bored waiting. They have our favourite wine, and the staff remembers their regular customers and what they like. The lunch buffet is not large, but the variety is great and there are always very fine vegetarian selections. I've recommended this to a number of people, all of whom have returned on their own.
I totally love this place. I've been here alone and am treated royally; I've been here with various and sundry friends on a number of occasions for both lunch and dinner, and we have been treated as if we were special every time. The last time was Sunday and I was with friends who had not that familiar with true Indian food, and they loved it, too, and are planning to return with some other of their friends. This is a fine place. The only handicap would be the stairs which one much climb in order to get to the restaurant not a problem for us, but it may be for someone in a wheel chair.
