Friendship Bbq You Qing Ke Chuan

I had a unique experience at this restaurant in the DMV area. I've never encountered Chinese street food quite like this anywhere nearby. You can order as many skewers as you want, and they bring them to you as they finish cooking, creating a delightful flow of small dishes throughout the evening. Everything we tried was fantastic. To my surprise, the eggplant was the highlight, and I'm not usually a fan of eggplant! If you visit, make sure to order it and thank me later. I genuinely want to return and sample every skewer on the menu.

I visited the restaurant and ordered a large selection of BBQ because I wanted to taste as many dishes as possible. However, after finishing my meal, I still had a good amount left over. I asked the server for some takeout boxes to take the leftovers home. When I filled the boxes, they were brimming full, but the server offered to take them into the kitchen for better packaging. When they returned, my food was no longer overflowing, and there were no extra boxes provided. All the food that had been piled high seemed to have disappeared, and the box was only about three-quarters full. It was quite disappointing.

The food was decent, but the service was quite disappointing. When I requested a takeout box for my leftovers, I ended up packing it myself because the staff did not assist me. My box was filled to the brim, even overflowing. However, when I handed it back to the server for some reason, they took it to the kitchen and returned it to me with much less food than I originally packed. It was frustrating to pay for a meal and end up with much less than I expected.

Price are a little on the high side but it's the best authentic Chinese skewer place I've had thus far in MD. Great flavor, solid heat on the pepper flakes. Tinfoil bbq also good. I'll be back to try other dishes

Pretty good quantity and quality for the value. I love the big plate chicken, the lobster rice and the tofu minced pork. My go to place to order food in the DMV.
