Shempy's - Rockport

This restaurant offers a wide range of choices in a cozy, hole-in-the-wall atmosphere. The waiting staff is professional and attentive, providing excellent service. The home-cooked meals are delicious and reasonably priced, making it the real deal! You can also bring your own filets. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

This cozy little restaurant offers delicious food and outstanding service. We brought our cousins visiting from Sweden, and we even took a picture in front of the place. They captured every moment of our dinner! The only downside to Shempy's is that we can't get enough of it!

The food was great, like Yam. The Portobello mushroom stripe appetizer was delicious, I would come back for them alone. We decided to share the seafood plate between us. It's a lot of food and delicious. The fried fish and shrimps are good and the crab patty was wonderful.

Additionally, we had the bread pudding, but unfortunately, that was a letdown as well. It was underwhelming in flavor, and the texture was uneven—the top was hot while the bottom was cool to the touch, and no sauce was provided to enhance it. As a certified food and service critic with expertise in the field, I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Management and have trained at two culinary schools, with further training in various related environments. My experience includes managing both full-service and fast food restaurants, as well as running a successful catering business. Now retired at the age of 75, I enjoy experiencing dining from a customer's perspective.

This is a little hole in the wall place that is warm and cozy! Only if you leave your attitude at the curb. The servers are awesome- friendly, attentive, and helpful. The food!!!!? My calamari was tender and crunchy the best I've had! Hobbies fish was a big serving, flaky, and oh, so good!!! Go here for! You won't regret it!
