Helmut's Strudel Shop - Rockport

The strudel was perfectly warm, and the coffee was hot! We enjoyed many beautiful views of the harbor. The location is small and a bit tucked away, but it's very picturesque.

We have adored this place since the late '70s. During late autumn and early winter, we would even drive from Newton Centre just to enjoy sitting outside with our warm drinks and whirlpool. These memories are truly cherished.

I've been a fan of their Strudel since the 1980s. I first tried it at the Christmas Show in Charlotte, NC, and I've even attended events just to enjoy their offerings. Last weekend, I visited the Christmas Made in the South show in Concord, NC, and the first stop I made was to get their cheese Strudel. However, I noticed they've changed the cheese filling—it now tastes like vanilla pudding! No! The original was perfection! The apple Strudel was still good, but I really hope this is just a one-time change.

This place is closed for the season, and I’m really disappointed. It was my go-to spot for breakfast and pastries!

Helmut's is a charming little spot (and I really mean little!). They offer delicious coffee and pastries, and the staff is always friendly and eager to help. There's even a lovely fountain out front with some benches where you can relax, enjoy a nice snack, and watch the world go by. I highly recommend it!
