Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen - Rockford

I’m really confused as to why this restaurant is still in business. They should just close it for good. To start with, the drive-thru is out of service, making it impossible to place an order there. The last time I visited, they had drinks, but they were out of ice. This time, the only options were water and lemonade. Shrimp is almost never available, and more often than not, they’re out of chicken as well. If they do have chicken, it's always the bone-in kind. They don’t offer any sauces either. It would be best for them to just shut down. The exterior lighting of the building doesn’t even work, giving it a rundown and shabby appearance.

This restaurant has an incredible team of staff. I required a catering order for my daughter's baby shower, and the manager was extremely helpful. Even though the place was quite busy, the team handled everything exceptionally well, even in the face of disrespect from a customer. I want to express my gratitude to the entire team for delivering such excellent service for our last-minute, large order. I will definitely return and share this great find with all my friends and family who are looking for outstanding service and delicious chicken. I truly love this place!

This place consistently serves me a fresh chicken sandwich every time I visit. It’s always bustling, yet they manage to keep up with the demand. The chicken is fantastic, and their onion rings are top-notch! I believe the manager—he was in a blue shirt—was absolutely amazing during my visit. He even shared some insights about the donut shop next door, which really enhanced my experience. I would definitely return just because of him; I wish I had gotten his name. Great restaurant with wonderful employees!

Picked up food for my American Legion Post to take to the Veteran's Drop-in Center. This place replaced another that raised their prices to way more than we could afford. $170 for enough chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, coleslaw, and bisquits to feed 25 Vets and have left enough for some of them to take home. And the Vets really loved it. We were pleased.

The food here is pretty great. I love the chicken sandwich. But other than that, the place is pretty rundowned, especially the drive thru. And don't get me started about the lot structure. Popeyes at this spot in particular is pretty decent but my biggest gripe is how difficult it is to enter and exit their lot. I wish they had an entry along Fairview but sadly it's just Estate. There's been several times I would have gone to them but the thought of trying to make a left to exit onto the busy street made me pick elsewhere.
