Skip the Indian dishes on the menu and request the real Nepalese dishes from the owner. The manager Rachna is passionate about Nepalese cuisine. I began with the dried goat salad, which was similar to beef jerky and incredibly tasty. Next, I tried a bamboo shoot dish, eggplant, and cumin-flavored rice, all of which were unique and delicious.
This is one of the few really authentic Nepalese eateries in Sydney. You do not go in for atmosphere. It is BYO. Ignore the Indian food on the menu and ask the owner for real Nepalese. The manager Rachna, is very enthusiastic about her homeland food. I started with the dried goat salad (a bit like beef jerky). Delicious. Then they had a bamboo shoot dish, and eggplant. With cumin flavoured rice. All very unusual.
I have had this review saved in my drafts for a while because I have had really good experiences at this restaurant, as well as just average and mediocre ones.
I loved the Trout Deviled Eggs at this restaurant! I have visited three times and each time has been a fantastic experience.
It says pub in the name, and the dining room is nicely decorated to look pub-like, but don't be fooled.
