Boschetto Cafe - Rockdale

Love the healthy breakfast here. Lots of rocket and creamy avocado! Will try the coffee if I get another chance! Spacious and near to the train station. Perfect for breakfast, lunch or quick coffee stop :)

Every time I meet my old friend Charles-Antoine in the Rockdale area on a Saturday morning, we end up having a breakfast at Boschetto. The Brekky special of the house is made from premium and so tasty ingredients not to finish it, and that would normally keep my stomach full till late in the night.Last Saturday 31 October, I decided to go for a lighter breakfast as I am back from a long trip through 8 countries and where I put on some 2.5 kgs in less than a month.The 2 toasts and latte I ordered were just fine; but what had changed from my last visit to Boschetto is the staff! Less staff members on the floor, with less connections with patrons than what the old staff used to have... Service is very important in hospitality, and I hope that the new ownership and management of Boschetto have already taken into account the profile of its regular patrons, their lifestyle and their expectations...

Came to Rockdale and decided to visit this place again. It did not disappoint. Service was welcoming. Water was given without asking. Orders for coffee was taken first, and then given a few minutes to peruse the menu.I ordered the bruschetta toast and it was beautifully presented. The cherry tomatoes was sweet. We ordered a few other items but it was devoured before photos could be taken. Definitely no complaints.

The staff are friendly and the food is good. I like the Eggs Benedict and the Brownies. Will definitely come back for more.

We travelled in the early morning from the Blue Mountains to pick up a car from Rockdale and based on the TA reviews we tried Boschetto's. Walking along the Princes HWY with business's stuck in the 80's, some closed down and boarded up doors. Amongst the new protein body shop and the butcher opened on Sunday. You arrive at Boschetto's with the surprise welcome of the automatic opening doors. Once the doors close The HWY disappears and you forget where you are. Resembling part Parisian and Italian decor of panelled walls with booth seating and tables for 2. Lovely large simple chandelier over the middle of the room. The coffee (campos) was lovely. I ordered the veggie pot with truffled mushrooms which did not come in a pot but on the plate. I think there was truffle oil sprinkled over the breakfast. I liked the mix of the scrambled egg with pumpkin, not tried before. The sour dough bread was perfect. My partners poached eggs slightly over cooked. Fresh orange juice lovely. Service swift and pleasant. Interesting this Italian cafe isn't run by Italians. Pleasant music mix playing over head. If you have to head to this part of town I'd recommend stopping in. We will if we get the chance again.
