Brett's Family Bbq - Rockdale

Very good food, and of you are like me and have never had smoked cabbage do yourself a favor and get some for Brett's it's delicious!!

Delicious BBQ! Best brisket and ribs I've ever eaten. Potato salad and brisket beans were good too. Highly recommend

Pretty good BBQ. Ribs are great. Brisket is tender and moist. I'm a bit picky on sausage and the jalapeno cheddar is ok not bad but just not my cup of tea. Slaw has cilantro which I did not care for so just a heads up there if you do not like cilantro. Street corn is good. Great staff and environment.

Moist beef barbecue brisket is where it’s at! You certainly pay for what you get; $22\pound. It’s worth getting, but it cost so much it’s luxury and extravagance you can only afford once in a while. Say, every other blue Moon on Saint Swivven‘s day.

Looked at the website and read Texas Monthly to study the hours for this place then planned my visit for a Thursday. Did the drive from Houston on a Thursday only to find out that the hours posted on Yelp website and Texas Monthly magazine are WRONG!!!! This place is Nit open on Thursday. Let me also say that I tried to call them and they did not answer. I also sent them an email to which I did NOT get a response. The BBQ might be good but this place needs to learn to update their hours to keep ALL customers happy.
