I recently ordered a takeout lunch from this restaurant and had a pretty good experience. The food was decent, scoring a 3 out of 5; it was satisfying but nothing extraordinary. However, the service was impressive, earning a solid 5. The staff was friendly and efficient, making the ordering process smooth and quick. As for the atmosphere, I would also give it a 5. Although I ordered takeout, the restaurant had a pleasant vibe that I’d love to experience in person someday. Overall, with a price range of $10–20 per person, it was a worthwhile meal!

I'm visiting from Miami and craving some island food, so I decided to stop by this restaurant on my way home. I was really impressed! After waiting about 6 to 8 months, I decided to give the place another shot because it has good reviews. I ordered online again, but about 15 minutes later, I received a missed call followed by a voicemail stating that the barbecue chicken my husband wanted was unavailable. I attempted to call back, but their phone system directed me to an automated message instructing me to order online. At that point, it was over an hour before they closed. After three unsuccessful calls, I decided to visit the restaurant directly since we live just 5 minutes away. When I arrived, I spoke to the person at the register and explained the situation—the missed call and the inability to reach them by phone. The staff member appeared indifferent, and no one seemed eager to assist. She didn’t even ask if we wanted a replacement meal (which we did and fully understood we would pay for). I felt like it was somehow my fault that they didn’t have my order ready. Ultimately, I requested a refund, and to their credit, they handled that promptly and provided proof, which I appreciated. As we were leaving, I noticed another customer tearing apart his takeout bag on his car trunk, likely to ensure he had everything because of those passive-aggressive signs. Honestly, I didn’t even check if they were still there. After these experiences, I wouldn’t consider eating here again, even if I believed all the glowing reviews about the food. While I don’t think the customer is always right, I believe the restaurant should reconsider its approach. This is simply my opinion, and perhaps my previous experience influenced my demeanor during the second visit. It's possible I've just had bad luck on two occasions, but I'm not inclined to try for a third. My ratings: Food: 3, Service: 2, Atmosphere: 4.

Nicest people in the world and some of the best Caribbean food in the country. I lived in New York, New Jersey, Florida, Atlanta, North South Carolina and love Jamaican food, these guys are the best. It’s something about the good vibes and great food that makes a place special. This place is how a restaurant should represent a culture through its food.
