Starbucks - Rochester Hills

Visiting this place feels like going to a friend’s home, as you end up bumping into almost everyone you know, including friends and family.

It's a very bustling location, but the baristas are impressively quick at managing the crowds. Although the drive-thru can get a bit chaotic at times, a little patience goes a long way. The restaurant also offers a free parking lot and maintains clean restrooms. There’s plenty of seating available as well.

The store is quite small and the layout makes waiting in line a bit awkward. The drive-thru is very cramped, often causing backups onto Rochester Road. I'm hoping that the new location will help reduce some of the congestion here. The easiest solution is to park in the adjacent lot and go inside to pick up your order, but be prepared to navigate through people waiting for their drinks and a narrow bench by the window. Seating is extremely limited, so it's best to plan on taking your drink to go. Depending on the time of day, you might find that no one acknowledges your presence when you walk in to pick up your order. This morning, for instance, no one greeted me or responded to my "have a nice day" as I left. However, the staff in the afternoon seems to be friendlier and less worn out. On the plus side, the drinks are consistently great, and they do serve pebble ice.
