Upon arriving at the restaurant, we encountered a slight hiccup as the hostess had trouble finding our reservation, although the mistake was on our end. Despite this, the hostess displayed a bit of an attitude. The atmosphere, noise level, and overall vibe of the restaurant were pleasant. Our server greeted us promptly, but our drinks took an unusually long time to arrive. After finally placing our appetizer and dinner orders, our meals came out very quickly, within 1-2 minutes of each other. While the food looked fresh and colorful, it lacked flavor. The queso fundido was bland, and our main courses were lacking the traditional spicy taste found in Mexican cuisine. Even the guacamole I ordered was underwhelming. It's perplexing how grilled chicken and steak can lack taste. Additionally, our frozen drinks were mostly ice. Although the experience wasn't terrible, spending almost $100 on 1 appetizer, 3 main courses, and 3 drinks should have resulted in a more memorable dining experience.
My family and I have dined at this restaurant before and enjoyed it, but this time was disappointing. I was served the wrong dish, but the manager comped my entrée. Additionally, two of our dishes were missing the sides of rice and beans, so we had to request them. The kit-kat cake for dessert was terrible - dry and tasting like it had been thawed from a freezer. The chile relleno had an unexpected thick fried egg coating that I did not like. The salsa was unremarkable, tasting like blended paste. However, the vegetable quesadillas were delicious. Despite this disappointing visit, I will give the restaurant another chance in the hopes that this was just an off night.
I was with my family and we enjoyed it, but this time was a gloomy that was given to me the wrong court (but the manager gave me my escape free). also the sides of rice and drilling were not provided with two of our dishes, so we had to ask for them. we were excited for dessert, but Kit-Kat-Torte was terrible. it is a small and dense cake with an outer layer chocolate. the problem is, it was extremely dry and tasted as if it had barely looked from a freezer. the chile relleno had a thick outer layer of fried egg (egg not listed on the menu), which I did not enjoy. Finally, the salsa tasted like mixed paste...not unique or exciting but the sweetsadillas were great! because I had a decent experience before, I will go again and reconsider. Hopefully it was just a night.
When we arrived at the restaurant, the host had difficulties finding our name (which was our fault, not her), but then had a bit of an attitude about it. the atmosphere, noise level and mood of the restaurant were good. our server welcomed us within a reasonable time, but it took a very long time to get our drinks. we could finally order an appetizer and our dinners when our drinks came, but then our dinners came within minutes from our appetizer. the food itself was very appealing looking fresh and colorful, but none of them had a lot taste. the queso fundido was cheerful, but bland, and our dinners were without this spicy, tasteful mix of taste that they normally expect to eat with Mexican. even the side of guacamole I ordered was bland. How can grilled chicken and steak be tasteless? two different frozen drinks usually tasted from ice it was not bad, but if they almost fall in a Mexican restaurant for appetizer, dinner and drinks overall, they expect something more unforgettable.
