Joe's Brooklyn Pizza - Rochester

Initially, I was skeptical, but after trying the three paprika slices, a Pfefferoni Sicilian, and a flat Sicilian, I changed my mind. The total came to $27, which I found a bit steep at first. However, the pizza ended up being quite good and I decided it was worth the price. I also had a positive experience with the customer service, contrary to what others have said. The server was friendly to me. I grew up in Brooklyn but now live in Binghamton, and I have been searching for a good Sicilian slice for years. The pizza here met my expectations and the portions were huge. The paprika Sicilian was massive, and the cheese topping was even larger. The Pfefferoni Sicilian was not just a cheese slice with a bit of Pfeffer sauce, and the Pfefferoni flavor was present in every bite. The cheese was also delicious. Overall, the pizza was thin and crispy for triangles and thick and fluffy for squares, just as it should be. If the restaurant were not 2.5 hours away, I would definitely come back often.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I have debated whether to write a review, but every time I drive from Joe's, I feel overwhelmed and annoyed, and feel it is necessary to share my terrible experience. This place does not deserve our business. I am appalled by the reaction of this company to these reviews, as it does not reflect well on them. The pizza was okay, but the customer service was absolutely terrible. This was not a one-time incident on a busy day; I gave them the benefit of the doubt three times and was always shocked by the mistreatment of customers by employees. Each time we ordered, the food was not ready when we arrived, and the last time it took over two hours to get our pizza. The employees were not apologetic at all; in fact, they seemed angry that we were inquiring about our order. The last time we went to pick up our order, we gave our name and the coworker walked away muttering something about 30 minutes. After waiting in silence for 5 minutes, I realized that the 30-minute wait was for our order and we were surrounded by other customers waiting as well. The workers were rude and shouted at a young child who asked when their pizza would be ready. The cooks and other workers made rude remarks and slammed ingredients and containers. At one point, a female worker yelled at someone staring at me, and then proceeded to slam the pizza down on the counter and shout at a delivery driver who had been waiting for over half an hour. I urge customers not to support this business until they apologize and commit to correcting their unacceptable behavior.

I was extremely disappointed with my experience at this restaurant tonight. I really wanted to like this place, as it was my first time dining here, but I should have read the reviews beforehand. I ordered a large pepperoni pizza with 12 buffalo wings. The person taking my order on the phone was rude when I didn't know the specific wing parts I wanted. What I received was a plain cheese pizza without pepperoni and 12 wings that were extremely dry. The flavor of the wings was more reminiscent of BBQ rather than buffalo. I understand that they may have smoked the wings to make them crispy, but they were cooked to the point of being burnt. It seemed like they had possibly reheated old BBQ wings that had a strange mix of flavors. Overall, it was a very unpleasant experience - one of the wings was so overcooked it fell apart in my mouth and I couldn't finish it. It appears that the owner may want to provide a good dining experience, but the staff does not seem to care based on other reviews. I would advise against eating here.

Good fresh pizza that tastes like it by nyc. bogo free slices every day of 3-5

My boy friend and myself order a large pizza, garlic knots, and 2 things of wings around 5:10 this past Tuesday evening. When we arrived we assumed everything would be ready to go but the wings were never even put in. We waited another 20 minutes plus while we watched the employees argue, oh here you go again with this while customers were looking looking for service. Once we finally got our food the pizza wasn't even warm which means the pizzas was either taken from the display or it's just been sitting getting cold. That will be out first and last time going. Save your money and go somewhere that employees respect each other and aren't yelling and jumping down each other's throat.
