Cerame's Italian Villa - Rochester

Just like all the others who are ever here. I personally am very picky when it comes to eating for italy, but this place is worthy

I absolutely adore dining at Cerames! The staff is amazing, the food is exceptional, and I really appreciate the pitcher of ice water provided at every table. Plus, the prices are very reasonable!

I started coming to this restaurant as a kid. Always the best sauce around. It's a toss-up between Cerami's and another Italian restaurant but whenever I'm back in Rochester, I visit this restaurant.

I really wanted to like this place, a small family restaurant that has been a Brighton institution for decades, but it falls short in many ways. Each visit seems to be worse than the last. They appeared to be overwhelmed on a busy Friday evening when New York's mask mandate had just expired. The long wait for our entrees might have been forgiven if they were more than mediocre. The white pizza, which used to be good, is now an oily, overbaked crust with a sprinkling of cheese and canned olive slices. The salad consisted of chopped iceberg lettuce, a whole half of tomato, and croutons drenched in commercial dressing. The sauce is old-fashioned Italian-American, but lacks flavor. The decor is outdated and uninspired, giving the restaurant a worn-out feeling. The men's restroom was in terrible condition, with broken and rusty fixtures held together with duct tape. This raises concerns about the cleanliness of the kitchen. The restaurant was already on a downward trend before the pandemic, and now it seems to have completely fallen off a cliff. I'm sorry to say that I used to enjoy coming here.
