We discovered the restaurant a couple of years ago by a flyer in the tourism office in nyons, probably the year it was set up and have gone back since then. it is a great place to take visitors from overseas as it is unique. eating is very good, currently 28€ for the set menu of 3 courses, including a kir with champagne, the klempner nyons oliven conceivable and coffee / tee. a cheese course is available at a supplement. it was quiet for a Saturday night, only we 2 and a table of 5, so a little in the atmosphere and decidedly cool until the open fire arrived. there is a selection of about 4 appetizers and desserts, where the lamb is the main event. local trout from st fereol is vegetarian for fish eating and it would be best to advise the restaurant in advance if this is necessary. uncertain how strict vegetarian diners would be deposited. at our latest visit was the lamb cut filet. it was lean and tasty, but not as rare as we want. Perhaps the cook has made an assumption that the British people want meat bee cut. the wine list is not excessively long and has local producers as well as a south of ventoux. wee prices are very reasonable, several under 20€. all in all it was another very nice meal and we will be back, perhaps in the summer months.
We discovered the restaurant a few years ago through a leaflet at the tourist office in Nyons, probably the year it was set up, and have been going back from time to time ever since. It's a great place to take visitors from overseas as it is unique. The food is very good, currently 28€ for the set menu of 3 courses including a kir with sparkling wine, the plumpest Nyons olives imaginable and coffee/ tea. A cheese course is available at a supplement. It was quiet for a Saturday night, only us 2 and a table of 5, so a little lacking in atmosphere and decidedly chilly until the open fire got going. There is a choice of around 4 starters and desserts with the lamb being the main event. Local trout from St Fereol is available for fish eating vegetarians and it would be best to advise the restaurant in advance if this is required. Unsure of how strict vegetarian diners would fare. On our recent visit the lamb cut served was fillet. It was lean and tasty but not as rare as we like. Perhaps the chef made an assumption that British people want meat 'bien cuit'. The wine list is not overly long and features local producers as well as one south of Ventoux. Prices of wine are very reasonable, several under 20€. All in all it was another very nice meal and we'll be back again, maybe in the summer months.
We found ferme dagobert accidentally wandering from rochebrune. trip advisor and their website convinced us to book a table and we were not disappointed. in their great barn-style restaurant we went to our table and received a royal and oliven. to relax in our environment and study the wine card and menu board. we chose the maison charcuterie and the caillette for entrées both delicious. the kaillette was a delicious aroma, skillfully seasoned with a great mix of crimp. the charcuterie had games of paste and terrine, all different textures and aromes. the main course was lamm different cuts, delivered on a large bowl of spelz risotto and sweet, for us in tuck. the lamb was absolutely dirty (I guess we expected it to have cooked pink, tender and full of taste. from desserts we both chose a piece of macaron tea homemade naturally full of mandel and skyberry aroma and delicate pastries, accompanied by apricot savorets that cut beautifully over the sweet of the tar. all in all a super experience and our only regret is that we have found the end of our vacation this time, but there is additional motivation for la prochaine! many thanks to christine for the support in translation and that being such a friendly host!
