The restaurant offers reasonable prices, excellent food, and friendly staff in a nice venue. Additionally, there is a policy of no phones and well-behaved children, making for a pleasant dining experience. I highly recommend this place.

We had a Christmas dinner gathering with our family, some of whom had traveled from as far as Portsmouth. It was a party of nine, with ages ranging from 14 to 82, and everyone had a great time. The room was lively and inviting, the food was delicious and plentiful, and the table was decorated with festive decorations. We had plenty of time to relax and enjoy ourselves in a traditional manner. Overall, it was an excellent experience.

I just want to express my gratitude to the owner, David, for his kind hospitality during a difficult situation I faced yesterday. I am a contractor for the Sam Smith’s chain and was visiting the restaurant when my van broke down as I was leaving. After waiting for 7.5 hours for assistance from the AA, I was told that my van couldn’t be fixed and needed a pick-up truck, which took an additional 90 minutes to arrive. It was a long and tiring day, starting at 6.30am and not getting home until midnight. I am truly grateful to David for making me feel welcome and keeping me supplied with Yorkshire tea. I also had the pleasure of meeting some lovely regulars, Lesley and her husband, as well as the friendly bar staff, Paige and Molly. Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity.

Food was superb, service with a smile. Cheap beer, not so much the wine! Atmosphere was very calming and relaxing! Overall a very friendly and welcoming place to be.

Reasonable prices, excellent food, friendly staff, nice venue. And, no phones, children under control great. Highly recommended
