We used to be frequent visitors to this charming rural area of Sussex and were familiar with the "old" Curlew. However, the new owners have transformed it into a pub with great food and a relaxed atmosphere. The menu, although short, displays a clear emphasis on quality and the dishes certainly deliver. Our group of six enjoyed a variety of dishes including cod with chips (incredibly fresh), duck, the house burger, and barbecued beer and chilli mussels, all of which were delicious and quickly devoured. Despite feeling quite full, we managed to make room for three desserts, all of which were faultless. The wine list is interesting and reasonably priced, and the service is both enthusiastic and friendly. We will definitely be returning to the Curlew!
