Pop's Ice Cream & Soda Bar - Roanoke

This is the best little jewel in roanoke! from ice to fruit drinks with sherbet and milkshakes. not to mention, they have some of the best grilled cheese sandwiches in roanoke with so many different types that is difficult to choose. they have no meat on one of them, but everyone has it's own special name and it fits to the sandwich. they even have a grilled peanut butter and banana sandwich that has quickly become my personal favorite. there are old-fashioned soda drinks (as from the 50s sodafontänen) with a lot of aromen. they have these fresh fruit drinks that are from this world. Of course, there are the smoothest ones that exist most everywhere, but they have additional ones that I have never seen anywhere else. my personal favorite is the orange drink with sherbet. it has fresh squeezed orange, over ice or ice and they are so delicious and filling taste, my had gone in less than ten minutes, and although I got a bounce of a brain freeze, I enjoyed every swallow and was sad when I reached the floor. I recommend this place to anyone who has a love to ice, soda pop and / or grilled cheese sandwiches!

In the Roanoke Valley there are many beautiful ice places, but this is the best of the best taste, menu, service, atmosphere: all are excellent. Of course they have wonderful ice, but I would also recommend to try a seasoned soda or one of their daily desserts. they also make brilliant grilled cheese sandwiches! go alone or take their friends and family and they will soon wish for a return!

My wife and I ate here during our jubilee journey and it was a very unforgettable experience. her grilled cheese is incomparable in quality and the milkshake options are also from the charts. the atmosphere is cheerful and the service is fast and friendly. we are pleased that we are over again at the next visit. I just wish I could give more than five stars.

So extremely disappointed! we visited from the city and wanted to get a local sweet kitchen. we narrowed our choices to pop’s, blue cow and the salem ice cream parlor. without asking local people, we based our decision on their Google profile. the photos made it like a really quirky, fun place with huge portions and 5 stars ice, bakery and desserts. their homepage showed that they were open that workers would wear masks and ask customers to wear masks. this indicates that din was available. when we arrived, we found a very illuminated, curb-side entry with very active bars as a neighbour. a door with a passage that greeted us. the inner was dark, the cartons of the products were smashed on the counters and a ring bell for the service sign was published on the door. we ordered a tin dachsonne and an orange freezer. the sundae was served in a paper bowl with child size. the ice was filled with so many ice crystals as it had eaten a cup of ice cubes and they forget to put every chocolate sauce in the sun. the orange-frost was a 10 oz. crushed egg with a slice of fresh orange and a cherry. (It should be like a smoothie to supplement injuries, we had to pay before and give a tip before we got our order. this whole experience has left our Roanoke experience a very acidic taste.

Wow this place is great! Took the kids out for ice cream and all 3 flavors we picked were delicious. Soda reminded me of the ones I'd get at my favorite soda bar 30 years ago. Good stuff.
