It claims to be a seafood restaurant, but only offers three fish dishes on the menu. We tried two of them and they were not impressive. The service was rushed, with four courses served in less than 70 minutes. The bill was presented before we even finished our coffee, and there were discrepancies in the charges. The food was mediocre at best, with overcooked fish and tasteless side dishes. The overall focus seemed to be on quick service rather than quality dining. The only redeeming factor was the dessert selection and the Auberge-Chowder. Considering the high prices and low expectations, this restaurant was a disappointment. The atmosphere felt more like a tourist trap than a decent dining establishment. I would not return or recommend this restaurant.
We were pleased to dine at this restaurant without having to drive around looking for somewhere to eat after a long day of driving. We opted for the full board option which included both dinner and breakfast, providing some cost savings as the prices here are on the higher side. We were satisfied with the quality of the meals, which were well-prepared, and the staff seemed to be on top of everything.
We went twice in two days, loved sitting by gas fire and watching water, food was excellent. the cafe/bar has the view however-no view from major restaurant but we just walked out to the deck after
We recently had dinner at this restaurant located in a hotel. The decor was lovely, the staff was friendly and polite. The food was fantastic - I ordered the lamb chops with aioli and they were delicious. My wife had the grilled salmon with vegetables which was also very tasty. If you opt for the set menu, you can enjoy a variety of desserts to choose from, such as sugar pie, apple crumble, fruits, and chocolate cakes. Overall, we highly recommend this place.
Stayed at L'Auberge one night and ate in the bar area as we found the menu prices at L'Espadon dining room over the top! The bar area was very quaint and cozy however we found the menu options were very limited for a bar with...no burgers, fish and chips or pasta dishes and the prices here were high here as well. We settled on some chicken wings and a bowl of onion soup which was very tasty. The special was frog legs and another option we didn't recognize. Given the location of this hotel we found we had limited dining options with walking distance.
