The Dimon Estate - Riverhead

We celebrated New Year's Eve and our 10th anniversary. The highlight of the evening was the manager and bartender, who were very welcoming and friendly. However, the server was not attentive, and the service was quite slow. Additionally, the table next to us was very loud, which distracted from the romantic atmosphere we were hoping for.

The food was outstanding, but the service was disappointing! We’ve dined here before without any issues, but it seemed they were understaffed for New Year’s Eve. Our cocktails arrived only after we finished our first course, and the empty plates from our second course were left on the table until the main course was served. We requested our dessert to go and ordered coffee, but it never arrived. When we finally asked for the check, we had to cancel the coffee. Overall, it was not a pleasant experience for New Year’s Eve!

It was satisfactory for a New Year's Eve dinner. The service was good, but the food selection felt somewhat questionable. We had three different options on the prix fixe menu. Everything was fine, but nothing stood out. I might give the place another try on a quieter night.

The food was mixed, there were 3 of us dining, some was great, some not so great. In general appetizers were good, beet salad and a corn soup that was excellent. The entress we had: Chicken breast which was excellent, ravioli were simply not a main course-there were only 3, Short Ribs, the entire dish so salty that it was not enjoyable, and the meat tasted like it was well past its prime. All of that being said, it was an off night, and some things were really really good, the service was good and the ambience was good. We will probably go back and try it again.
