Contribuiți la feedbackWe catered from Maple Tree BBQ for our recent family reunion BBQ. Dennis, the owner, was very friendly and helpful. The food was outstanding and the server they provided was amazing. We fed over 36 adults and children and got to enjoy our party. We highly recommend this wonderful restaurant!
Pleasantly surprised. We pass it all the time and just never went in. The food was excellent, staff friendly, clean, and well-priced. Definitely going back. Sorry it took so long for us to try.
We were heartily greeted by the owner, Dennis O 'Leary, in spite of being super busy doing everything behind the front counter. He tends bar, takes orders, chats it up with customers, prepares desserts, takes your serves up really good, Southern (Alabama? barbecue; amazing busy multi-tasking. Know that, as a result, there will be a bit of a wait but it 'll be worth your while. The menu is fairly extensive, kind of expensive, but all good. In fact, it appeared to us that local residents come here as much as non-locals. Served directly on a tray, the mac cheese side dish was thick cheesy, jalapeno pickles were a perfect complement to our well seasoned, really flavorful 'Bama chicken on Portuguese roll sandwiches, cole slaw was a good additive, as was the corn bread. The mixed drinks Dennis poured (check out the mixed drinks menu in my pictures looked really refreshing. We would have tried one but we were riding bicycles. Next time...
Came here on a weeknight for some BBQ. It started off a little rough at 6:00pm they were out of, or did not prepare, several items listed on the menu. (Two of which I was interested in) I had the brisket and pork shoulder and both were good. The sides were good to though all portion sizes were very controlled. Their Bourbon drink special may have been my favorite item of the evening! For the food portions v. the price, there is better out there but the food truely wasn't bad at all and I would consider going back.
Maple Tree provides very good, very authentic barbecue, in a number of different styles. I regularly stop by when in the area, usually for take-out, although we ate in the restaurant on our latest stop. The selection of drinks--both soft and alcoholic--is limited, but adequate to match the food. Not too much room inside, particularly in these socially-distanced times, but there is also seating outside, and a very nice public spot across the street, where you can park and eat take-out at a picnic table overlooking the Peconic River--which is what we usually do. Service is friendly and good. The food isn't inexpensive--expect to pay about $10 or a little more for a sandwich--but the quality is good enough that it's worth the price.
