We have been dining at this restaurant for years. The meals are consistently delicious and innovative. Unfortunately, Brooks and Wendy are retiring and leaving the area. We will miss Brookside Bistro. It's just a short drive away.

I really feel bad about this review because the food was very good and the restaurant was picturesque and comfortable. What ruined the evening was the terrible service. My proposal to the owner who really works very hard as she could be seen to keep things smooth is to rent older experienced servers. Most of my tables ate the grouper special, which was excellent as the salads. We had to ask for things 2 or 3 times. Get out of jelly for the muffins. There were too few muffins for 4 people. The server has never checked with our table to see if we want refills on our drinks or if we need anything. We were just forgotten. My salad was brought without the dressing. I had to order another server to get it for me. The coffees were brought without the creamer. We had to wait until the coffees got cold before we add Rahmer! The courts were not brought out at the same time. What a serving nightmare. One of the waiters told my friend that he would bring her a box so that she could wrap the remains. He never came back. Another young man took her court and put her back in order to pack herself. The problem I see is that there are too many people trying to help a table without organization. Maybe a server should pay attention to fewer tables. You should definitely be better trained. It was just not professional!

The weekend 5 course price fixe was outstanding as always and the wine pairings were fun!! Always a great meal!!!

The menu at this restaurant is always interesting and well-prepared. The food is very good. The only drawback is the slow service, which prevents it from being a 5-star location.
