Relais Du Pont D'arcole - Riscle

A sunday lunch with my lovely wife. We heard the restaurant was under new management, so thought we would try them out on the expectation that their previous reputation was now history. We were left fully 30 minutes before someone came to take an order. No offer of an aperitif, just asked what we wanted to eat. The main course was a chewy piece of beef, although to be fair the starter and dessert was OK. Highlight of the meal were the chips. For all this, including a bottle of wine, we were relieved of 78 euros. I'm not terribly impressed and doubt we will return.

We arrived a bit late but we were welcomed by a smiling waitress. We had the Set menu and it was fabulous. Camembert parcels with salad, roasted veal with vegetables followed by creme brûlée. Good local wine list. We sat on the Terrace and enjoyed the atmosphere.

We had a delightful lunch here (9 of us) between wine tastings at Saint-Mont and Domaine de Cassagnoles. Service was friendly, cheerful and attentive. Salade de Pont d'Arcole was a magnificent assemblage of smoked duck, foie gras etc. We were there on a glorious but coolish April day. Lots of room inside and a sizeable terrace for warmer days. It's not in a beautiful location and it's near a busy road but I thoroughly recommend it.

A very good welcome in this hotel restaurant. The rooms are correct and clean. The TV reception is not at the top; The restoration is really not bad. A good quality report for the season.

Disappointment... I want to give our opinion on the room. We had opted for a room at 90 € without PdJ)!!! The price quality ratio is not there at all! No air conditioning....average litter... no flaps on the main window and especially no cleanliness on the floor. We did a test with wet wipe paper room, SdB WC) and this was in the end yellow color!!! So soil not or poorly washed!! Another negative point...when you arrive at the hotel at a late hour at night, you have no light or light signage to spot and enter the parking lot and then reach the entrance door just a detector spot for the last 4 meters! Well...you'll understand we'll pass our way if we get back to the area. The welcome also leaves to be desired...I suggest to the management less smoking sitting on the stools of the bar outside, and to come take care of the guests.... Close the ban and goodbye!!!!!
