San Pecoraio - RIPARBELLA

We stayed in the resort with a timeshare exchange booked through DAE and this included a mandatory half board. This was a terrible experience. Half board means you pay for breakfast and dinner every day. The resort was almost empty and there were only 3 4 of us couples from Canada and UK. The first morning we were offer cake, pastry, bread that was all dried out. There was no meat or eggs. The coffee we had to almost beg for. They seemed really resentful of having to prepare meals for so few! The second morning after some complaints she made a few over boiled eggs! That was it for breakfast! The dinners were totally underwhelming and not something I would normally choose. I had a lot of digestive issues with this trip! It ruined the nature of our holiday because if one just wants to throw away 60 Euros daily(cost of half board) then we could have explored restaurants around the area and had a better Italian culinary experience. When you find a good restaurant, one tends to go back and we did find one that we really liked in Riparbella. The good thing about this place, if a young entrepreneur took over from this family that is rather burned out, I could see it being totally an enchanting place for meals. The views on the outside terrace are staggeringly beautiful. It is a bit of distance from Riparbella though, and one has to explore to find it. This place has potential is managed and looked after properly. During tourist season there are English speaking employees but in October it is off peak and they did not speak English. Another word of caution! DO NOT participate in half board concept as it is definitely not worth the money. You have to eat what and when they prescribe. Dinner in Italy is always after 7 pm up until 9:30 pm. This doesn 't suit my lifestyle and digestive issues. Breakfast is sweet breads and cakes which is hard to tolerate when one minimizes their sugar intake. I know that there is the saying when in Rome do as the Romans do but I don 't participate in that theory. I love international foods but I have too many GI issues to eat like the Italians. I need to have the option to select from a menu.

Spazio ampio immerso nel silenzio dove potersi riposare e rilassare ai bordi di una grande piscina. Sono stato fortunato ad avere un'esperienza in un ambiente poco affollato. Perfetto per staccare la spina e rigenerarsi.

Locale meraviglioso. Tutto il personale è estremamente disponibile e cordiale. Avanti così e buon lavoro.

Esattamente come descritto, l'appartamento è carino, pulito e spazioso. Appena arrivati, abbiamo avuto un problema con il termostato per i termosifoni.... è stato risolto appena fatto presente nonostante fosse la sera del sabato di Pasqua.

Posto bellissimo, in mezzo alla natura, tranquillo e comodo a varie borghi da visitare. Il panorama stupendo. Il personale gentile e disponibile!
