The staff was genuinely concerned with providing good service, which is so hard to find anywhere in Rio it just normally isn't in the Carioca mindset. We ordered a nice Malbec, which was...fairly priced. The carpaccio appetizer was presented well, with some greens on top and enough bread chips to finish it all. My girlfriend had the ribeye, which was cooked a little less than she wanted, but was still very flavorful and tender. I had the filet mignon stuffed with Brie which was excellent. We finished with the trio of brûlées, which was a nice variety. The service was excellent the entire meal. The ambience Is excellent, with the floor and ceiling cut around trees and a great view of the water. Porto da Barra is a great location away from the crowds of Rua das Pedras with a handful of very appealing restaurants, at least visually. Donna Jo was the only one we tried and it did not disappoint.
All excellent food, service, location (on injury) and personal touch. better cream brule than in beglium. beautiful pasta, figue salat and ravioli with goat cheese. large Chilean wine poured delicate. magno the manager takes care of the guests very well and is very helpful.
The restaurant has a beautiful atmosphere and service was good. I thought it would be overpriced in terms of meal and taste. I didn't care about the sauce of my fish.
The boa lembrança court was excellent and I resomed the new. my family has a few plates, teh risoto, wish was served very well in size.
I ate at Donna Jo last year and totally enjoyed the meal. Back in Buzios again and returned. I ordered their specialty a nice salmon dish, I highly recommend it.
